Yes! Vote For Freddy Some More on Sirius Hits1

May 30, 2008

Sirius Hits1 Radio has put up a new batch of songs on their site that you can vote on to be ‘Hit-Bound’. And guess who’s song was put back on that list?! Freddy’s ‘DEFYING GRAVITY’ of course.

And just like last time, Freddy is totally dominating every other artists on the list, thanks to YOU. He literally has 44% of the votes!

So here’s the game plan and we need YOUR help to make it happen…we’re going to blow the minds of everyone at Sirius Radio by getting Freddy at least 80% of the Hits-Bound votes…at least! Can you imagine how hard the heads of the radio station will be spinning when they see that an unsigned artist is by far, the most popular artist on the Hits-Bound list?!

With YOUR help, we can make this happen! Vote and show your love for Freddy here on Sirius!

Thanks For Voting!

May 30, 2008

Hi guys,

The voting is now closed over at Sirius Hits 1 radio. Freddy totally killed the competition…he got even more votes than Coldplay and Miley Cyrus, combined!! ‘Defying Gravity’ jumped from 2% of the vote to 20% in just a few hours because of you!! Seriously, YOU guys did it, YOU made it happen! Thanks so much to everyone who voted! Oh, and even though voting is now closed, you can still request ‘Defying Gravity’ on http://www.sirius.com/siriushits1/ (top right of the screen)!

THANKS AGAIN PEOPLE!!!!

Still here in LA…still recording with the Wizardz of Oz.  I’m working on a bunch of new songs, pretty much all of which are based on direction from you, the fans.  There’s this one song in particular that I’m just LOVING.  It’s called ‘freak.’  It’s 100% inspired from this email that someone sent me – this high school girl who talked about how she was viewed as a ‘freak’ at her school.  It got me thinking.  It’s the freaks that somehow end up turning out to be the ones that rise to the top later in life.  U know what I mean??  Like the unsung heroes, the sleepers so to speak.  The kids that get totally harassed all through out high school, they come back big time later in life, (while the ‘cool’ kids are the ones that end up pumping gas).  Funny how that works.  Anyways, I really sympathized with this girl and her e-mail really resonated with me, so I went with it.  Together with the Wizards we wrote these siiick lyrics, and the song is just kick a$$ – can’t wait for you to hear it!

Listen to what’s going on with Freddy today:

I got to LA today where I’ll be recording for the next week or so.  It was really cold here, (way colder than I expected) but I still love it here.  I’m working with these two producers from Australia called the Wizardz of Oz, (get it?).  They are so cool, and SOO nice!  It’s funny because in addition to being business partners, they’re life partners too…no really, they’re married, (husband and wife with a beautiful baby girl, and funny little wiener dog too).   Their studio is pretty cool too – great vibe and they have the coolest accents.  Did I mention these guys are cool…wait til you hear the music we’re making!!!

I was at the Indy 500 today.  First off, wow.  So cool.  I was asked to speak at something called an “executive roundtable.”  I didn’t really know what to expect and to tell you the truth, I was actually a little nervous about being there.  I only say that because they sent me the list of people that were attending and it as ALL CEO and actually, mostly CIO’s, (tech guys).  I wasn’t sure I’d id fit in, being the long haired unconventional music guy….but…it actually went REALLY well!  As it turns out guys in suits can actually be pretty cool.  These guys were so interested in what I had to say about the music business and where it was headed, not to mention I signed autographs for like 20 minutes after the conference.

Freddy Goes West!

May 24, 2008

Freddy left today for Los Angeles to spend four intensive days in the recording studio with an Australian producer team known as “The Wizards”. As you know, he’s making his first album entirely in his apartment and on the Kidd Kraddick show, but now he’s at the point where he needs actual studio time. For example, one song requires a big horn section and Canal Side Lofts Apartments might not be too happy with blaring trumpets and trombones coming from Freddy’s apartment.

We are getting very close to having a completed album! This has been an incredible journey that wouldn’t be possible with the help of Freddy fans who have suggested songs, voted on lyrics and pictures, and  purchased songs and merch to fund the production, and attended Freddy’s concerts.

The unthinkable is now becoming possible. Freddy has a chance to become the first pop artist ever to have a hit song without a record label.

After all he’s been through, Freddy deserves a second chance.

PLEASE click on Help Freddy and find out what you can do to help Freddy realize his dream.
